I had such a nice day today! Rare that you find one in which absolutely nothing (almost anyway) goes wrong. Just went to school for Games Day and found out I was supposed to play captain's ball but didn't really feel like playing, felt like ponning. Then I just thought to heck with it, I didn't have anything else to do anyway. Most of my class were playing soccer and floorball, but I was lucky to have Sihui with me. Hung out most of the day with Min Li and the other S01 people. Somehow I think they're really easy to get along with, just nice normal beings with a sense of fun. Played around 2 games and lost most of them but shockingly we managed to get into the qualifying rounds. Which we lost, expectedly. But it was fun nonetheless. To hear Min Li scream herself hoarse and sing along horribly to the songs they were broadcasting over the radio even though she had a severe sore throat already and her father had expressly told her to stay out of the sun the day before. Love that girl. ;) After that we just slacked and cheered for the teams playing other games. Sitting in the sun too much has made me acquire a bright red face. Hooray.

After that went to Bugis with Sihui! Must thank her for suggesting it... had a really good time. Though I'm not really the shoppy type there were so many things to see... really ying1 you3 jing4 you3. (I hope I got that right. Haven't had much to do with the chinese language for some time.) We walked around until almost 5 without even realizing it. Want to go back again 'cos we didn't actually manage to cover the whole area 'cos we stopped at almost every shop... zai man. Managed to get new earrings finally. Very hard to find unique ones after a while! A lot of clothes but all damn ex. Blah. Oh well at least I'm encouraged not to waste money. Really broke already even though all I bought was two pairs of earrings and an eraser refill. Ridiculous. (Oh yup. I forgot all about the inconsequential matter of FOOD.)

Feel quite happy and satisfied at the moment. Actually tried to act studious and read my Ideal Gases notes just now 'cos I think we'll be going through tutorial and fell asleep after one page. Oh well. At least I found an excellent way to cure insomnia.

I hope they show the correct Daria episode today. :)

What on earth have happened to the pictures on my blog? They simply refuse to show up despite changing the host countless times. And it's not just because of my attitudinal personal computer 'cos they don't work on other computers as well. WTH. It's the same with my bro and sis. Think the internet is boycotting our family.

It'll be Games Day tomorrow. That's not so bad- At least it'll be one more day of slacking before the results are unleashed.

Looking forward to Open Day. Seems like such a long time ago that I was the one going for the NJ open day.

School ends in around 2 weeks, give or take.

Where have all the months gone?

I really don't know.

memories seep through my veins...

I bought a handphone keychain at a flea market at Clarke Quay at the end of last year. It's quite plain with some cross-stitched pink and green flowers on it- not really good quality either. I think I just bought it for the sake of putting something on my handphone. I was pretty fond of it for a time. At the beginning of this year, it fell off my handphone because the hook was quite loose. I was quite upset, and people helped me look for it. Person A hands it back to me, who I thank. "Don't thank me," Person A says, "Person B found it." I smile and thank Person B.

I took it home, and my mum helped me to tighten the hook properly to ensure that it didn't fall off.

As time went on, I found the way the keychain looked on the handphone rather jarring. Too flossy- not really me. I didn't really like the idea of putting something on my handphone anymore- unnecessary and it kind of got in the way. But I left it there- hey I bought it, might as well use it right? But I didn't really bother to notice it or ensure the hook was tight. I knew it was there, but I never really cared much about it. I subconsciously thought that it would fall off sometime or another, the way I just let it hang carelessly outside my pouch. Surprisingly, it held. I would look and feel amazed that it was still there.

Then one day, I took my pouch to the canteen as always to buy lunch. When I got back to the band room, I realized the keychain had fallen off.

The funny thing was, I didn't feel sad about it, not even in the least. I didn't even bother looking for it. In fact, I think I was subconsciously glad that it fell off.

Haven't recovered it since. But somehow I think my handphone looks better.

Yup and so promos are almost over. Just have econs mcq and case study tomorrow and I'LL BE DONE. Actually I'm already kind of done... blogging when I should be catching up on the little I studied for the essay paper. Oh well. It's going to be busy busy busy all the way after this... but at least it'll be a nice kind of busy. Isn't PW positively delightful in comparison to mugging? I am sure that I'm going to be made to drop Chem. Kind of regret taking it... perhaps should have taken an odd combi since I'm neither an Arts nor a Science person. No point saying that now. Shall see after the results are released. :/

Tomorrow it'll be shopping and other materialistic indulgences with Ning. Yay! Shall go buy the Matchbox 20 cd and nobly try to salvage the severely declining record industry.

Haven't blogged for a whole week... at least that's a good sign. Still very worried about promos... dunno if I'm going to be able finish my revision... study extremely slowly lah. Ponned almost all the lessons on Mon and Tue to study... Mon I lived in the band room- Shuhui went for more lessons than me- and Tue spent most of the day in the library and KAP with Wei Wei. And I don't think I'll go to school anymore. GP today is completely screwed. I look forward to going for GP Clinic next year with SP. What can I say... last minute studying...

Anyway, on a lighter note- Ning wrote a poem for me. :)

-----------------------------------------
Asymptotes

We've walked in circles, in two perhaps skew-lines
Because you're higher, so much that
Another plane is unreachable
For my fingertips
But I realized it is all inside my mind we are the same
Walking on the same ground
Taking all the same paths along the axis
Although that's no comfort.
Because we're almost parallel, false hopes turning
Out lives out as asymptotes.
Which to which we draw nearer-
Not nearly enough for us.
Because they can never, ever cross
Unless you want to lose
More than just the method marks.
-------------------------------------------------

Like that. Helps to revise 3-D trig and vectors as well. Pretty lame eh? Gotta get back to maths now. Cannot waste time anymore.

Keep on moving all promo takers... it could be worse. At least it's almost over :)

I'm sick of being politically correct.
What's really going on?
